Why is faith necessary?

Every day when you go to work you discover what faith does. Every day that a student goes to school they are learning what the role of faith plays in their education. Every time you go grocery shopping you prove that faith is present as you cruise back and forth through the aisles tossing stuff into your cart. Every time you open your Bible and read its words you realize without a doubt that faith is leading you. When you go to God in prayer regardless of what it is that you are talking with Him about faith makes its presence known immediately.

When you go to work you go because the boss has faith in the product or service you are helping him produce. The student realizes the faith that the teacher has in the things they are teaching to be the things needed for success. The one who grew or raised the food who purchased had faith in their method of growing the very best for you. When you open your Bible to read God's Word to you there is an overwhelming sense of the faith that God has in giving you the absolute truth. And when you pray you are proving the faithfulness of God to hear you otherwise why would you pray?

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 

It isn’t difficult to please God apart from faith, it is impossible to please Him. Take a moment to digest that thought carefully. Without faith God is not pleased with you, with anything you do, with anything you may say including witnessing and preaching and teaching God's Word, or with any good work of charity that you may perform. There can be no faith in God when you doubt His Word, His ability to care for you and meet your needs, for your protection and safety, or for the sacrifice that Jesus made with His sinless life, death, burial, and resurrection for you personally. Faith is always personal and if you agree that Jesus paid for all the sin of the world, but you are not sure about yours, then it is unbelief and there is no way that you are pleasing God. Go to God with all the doubts that you have with all the questions that are keeping you from a firm believing faith and then allow Him to lovingly guide you to the truth. The opposite of this verse is also true. With faith it is possible to please God.
